Course Aim:

To develop a competent theoretical knowledge of VOR Concepts.

Course Duration:

2 Weeks.

Outcomes:

To develop competent practical basic skills, through the application of knowledge and exercises to be able to do first-line maintenance of VOR equipment.

Language:

The course will be conducted in the English language.

Scope:

Understanding VOR concepts and systems, Analysing and assessing the understanding of VOR signals, in terms of frequency, phase, voltage, antenna systems and other parameters, Practical – Performing routine preventive maintenance. Demonstration, exercising and assessing competency of various VOR sections, Practical – Demonstration, exercising and assessing competency of various VOR adjustments, Practical – Simulation of Flight Calibration procedures and associated adjustments and Practical – Demonstration, exercising and assessing competency of Signal Radiation and plotting exercises of a VOR.
